The program aims to disseminate new concepts in people management and organizational culture to achieve equality between women and men in the labor market.

Eleonora Menicucci, minister of the Women’s Policy Office, is today, the 17th, at Fundação Getulio Vargas to launch the 6th edition of the Gender and Race Pro-Equality Seal where she will speak to an audience of 50 CEOs. The meeting is sponsored by the Group for Research on Law and Gender (GPDG) of São Paulo Law School (FGV Direito SP).

“Economic empowerment and the assurance of the financial and social empowerment of women is one of the structuring and fundamental axes of policies to transform the living conditions of Brazilian women”, explained Lígia Sica, GPDG’s coordinator.

To fight against this inequality, the Women’s Policy Office of the Presidency (SPM/PR) created the Gender and Race Pro-Equality Program. The program aims to disseminate new concepts in people management and organizational culture to achieve equality between women and men in the labor market, rewarding companies that promote this change with the Gender and Race Pro-Equality Seal.

According to Lígia Sica, the event’s objective is to "assist the SPM-PR report to CEOs about the importance of the program and discuss the issue of lack of structural policies to keep the best talented male and female workers. Besides being a matter of social justice, the insertion and rise of women in the corporate environment is also the key to good governance of companies”, she added.
