The goal is to bring food producers closer to end consumers, promoting insights on the food production chain across major cities and placing producers as the protagonists of this relationship.
On May 4, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., the Center for Sustainability Studies (GVces) of FGV’s Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (EAESP) will host a farmers’ market with cooperatives involved in the Bota na Mesa (On the Table) project, targeted to the FGV community. The goal is to bring food producers closer to end consumers, promoting insights on the food production chain across major cities and placing producers as the protagonists of this relationship.
There will be a total of nine stands for the cooperatives to sell fruit and vegetables, in addition to a food stand with items such as cakes, breads and pies, brought by the producers. The event is also supported by the Student Union (DA), FGV’s collective consumption group Cultivar, and Rockafé. In addition, the event will be attended by representatives from the city’s retailers. FGV’s community will be able to make purchases, and GVces team members will be available to talk about the project.
Besides bringing FGV’s community closer to the activities developed by GVces, the purpose of this initiative is to promote the coordination of associated marketing channels (restaurants, retailers, municipalities) and the learning exercise of the financial management workshop, offered to producers by GVces researchers.
The market will be held in the outdoor common area of the 7th floor of FGV Sao Paulo (Rua Itapeva, 474).
